Give Away Day

The lovely folks at Sewmamasew have initiated a Give Away Day and I jumped at the chance to take part.

All you need to do to take part in my give away is to tell me what you think of the shabby chic skirt I designed for my little girl below as I was thinking of making a pattern for it to be posted here

The winner will receive a lovely stash that will allow you to make the tote in my free Tote Bag Tutorial.  You will receive 1/2m each of the lining and exterior fabric plus buttons, thread and ric rac (the buttons & ric rac can be added to the bag for decoration if so desired).

The competition will run until 25th May and is open to anybody 🙂

Good luck!

This competition is now closed. The winner will be announced shortly.

    That is a really cute skirt. How long is it designed to be? Would it be able to be a mother/daughter skirt? (you know – so me and my 19 month old could be cute and matchy matchy!) Is it difficult to make? I like the way you match the fabrics, too.

  181. RobynK says:

    I’m not a pink person but that doesn’t detract from the fact that I like the design. Very feminine and I bet it twirls beautifully when it’s worn – all little girls should have at least one twirly skirt :). Love the lace on the waistband.

    Ooh! I love the inner fabric of the skirt. It looks like between the elasticized top and the larger bottom half, it’ll flare out nicely when she twirls! (And really, isn’t that the best part of skirts?)

    I also adore the outside fabric for the tote bag. Talk about a fun bag to bring to pick up groceries! It’s fun, practical, and earth-friendly too!

  185. Chacoy says:

    I love how it is not straight at the bottom. It makes it flirty and oh so fun!
    Thank you for the opportunity;}

The skirt would look great even on an adult. I like the name of your site. I have three parrots, a blue and gold macaw, a yellow collar macaw, and a quaker parrot. I love all three.
